Mother's Day Brunch 2018

May 13, 2018
For Mother's Day this year, my darling parents allowed me to plan a brunch, sort of as my first "test run" event. If you didn't know, I want to become an event planner after college. Needless to say, this was a really exciting project for me take on.

I thought of everything, down to the menus for the afternoon! I even made my own tiered cake, which is so much harder than you'd think. However, I'm really proud of how everything came out, especially for such good prices.

The thing with this event was my parents wanted to keep it reasonably priced, which I liked because it narrowed down my options. I enjoy a good challenge.

So without further ado, take a look at what I came up with on a tight budget!

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking, I know.

I've linked the items that I could find online down below, just in case any of these pieces stood out to you! A lot of them came from the sale sections of stores, so always be sure to check there when planning an event with a low budget.

The beverages pictured were raspberry tea and lavender lemonade.

Square Glasses- Party City $7.49
White Mug Cups- Party City $3.99
Spring Napkins- Target Sale Section $1.25, $2.10
Cake Stand- Target Sale Section $5.00
Watering Can- Target Sale Section $5.00
Party Banner- Target Sale Section $2.50
Pinneapple Glass Bottle- Target Sale Section $3.00
Salad Spoons- Target Sale Section $3.00
Straws- Target Sale Section $1.00 each
Menus- Walgreens $10.49
Flowers- Walmart $10.50

Whew, that was a lot.

In grand total, this event cost $133.03 (not including the cost of food.)

I'm extremely pleased with how low I was able to keep the cost of all of these items, because the set up looked beautiful! I got such amazing feedback from our guests, and it made my day to see my mom so happy.

Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to all the badass moms out there who tackle every day with as much strength as the day before. You don't go unnoticed.

Hope you enjoyed this! I know I did.

Talk to you soon!
